About Marposs

Marposs S.p.A. was founded in 1952 in Bologna by Mario Possati and is a provider of measuring, testing and inspection technology for industrial manufacturing. The company develops and manufactures systems for precision measurement of mechanical components before, during and after machining, for process control and machine monitoring, for leak testing, as well as for automatic assembly and control lines. The technology families include Gauging (contact-electronic, air-electronic, non-contact, digital scanning), Probing and laser tool setting, tool and process monitoring, grinding wheel balancing, collision and crash detection, predictive maintenance, and data management and quality control software. In addition, Marposs offers machine-tool retrofit and upgrade as well as after-sales service with around 300 service engineers worldwide. At the headquarters in Bentivoglio near Bologna, three plants with 38,000 m² of floor space comprise the Product Manufacturing Center for standard products and the Application Manufacturing Center for custom systems; PCB assembly is carried out on a fully automatic SMD line with opto-electronic inspection. With 3,300 employees in 34 countries, Marposs primarily supplies the automotive industry (ICE and EV) as well as mechanical engineering, aerospace, HVAC-R, energy, biomedical, semiconductor/consumer electronics and the glass container industry.
