About Martin Auer
Martin Auer GmbH is a Styrian family business in its third generation, headquartered in Graz. The company produces baked goods, fine pastries and pâtisserie as well as its own roasted coffee and organic wholegrain flour from its own grain mill. According to its own statements, all breads are organic, vegan, lactose-free, free of E-number additives and yeast-free, made from genuine natural sourdough. Distribution takes place predominantly via 45 own branches and bakery cafés in Austria, which generate more than 99 % of revenue; to a minor extent the company supplies HoReCa customers. Since withdrawing from food retail in 2012, Martin Auer no longer acts as a supplier to Billa, Merkur, Spar and Interspar. In 2021, the company headquarters Atelier Martin Auer opened in Graz-Messendorf with an openly viewable bakery, confectionery, roastery, mill, café and administration on 6,500 m²; in September 2026 it was followed by the first international location, a show bakery in Manhattan.
