About Martin Braun AG
Martin Braun AG was founded in 2000 by the German watchmaker Martin Braun and is a watch brand in the field of Haute Horlogerie. The first model, EOS, featured a mechanical display of sunrise and sunset times; further models such as Boreas, Heliozentric and Astraios showed the equation of time, declination and moon phase. In 2006, Braun acquired a Swiss supplier and relocated his activities to Switzerland. In 2007, the Franck Muller Group acquired 51 percent of the shares; watch production was subsequently established in Sarnen in the canton of Obwalden as part of the Watchland project. After the departure of the company's namesake (approx. 2008/2009), the brand rights are held by Franck Muller/Watchland. The company location at Marktstrasse 8 in Sarnen is today maintained as a contact point for service and spare parts supply.
