About Maschinenbau & Landtechnik Schmid

Maschinenbau & Landtechnik Schmid is an owner-managed specialist company from Waldstetten in Bavaria, founded on 24 May 1995 by Martin Schmid. The company implements special machinery and customised solutions from planning and design through manufacturing to assembly — from one-off pieces to small series. Its range of services includes locksmith and metal construction work, welding work with a certified welding engineer, hydraulics service including the manufacture and replacement of hydraulic hoses, as well as PLC programming and control/software engineering. A particular focus lies on the construction of test benches, among others for the slip resistance of mats and coatings (inclined plane), for forestry wedges and for winches with lifting gear testing, each with software-supported measured data recording. In addition, the company offers mobile maintenance and emergency repairs on site as well as services in agricultural technology. Manufacturing is predominantly in stainless steel and steel; an in-house product line is hand-crafted stainless steel decorative lights with mouth-blown glass elements. Certified to DIN EN ISO 1090 EXC2.
