The company originated in 1961 as the workshop of the Farmers' Association of St. Gallen and was spun off as an independent AG in 2016. Its offering includes the sale of tractors, agricultural machinery, lawn care and municipal technology as well as powered garden equipment, a workshop for service and repair work, a grinding service for reel mower cutting units and a spare parts warehouse with over 16'000 parts. MCWIT is the general importer of the brands Baroness, HDK, Ryan, Belrobotics, Salsco and Wiedenmann and serves, among others, golf courses, sports grounds, municipalities and farms. The new building occupied in 2022 at Bahnhofstrasse 4 houses a workshop, showroom, spare parts warehouse, a brake test bench for up to 18 tonnes and an overhead crane with a 5-tonne lifting capacity.
