About Forward AM
Forward AM (Mass Additive Manufacturing GmbH), based in Heidelberg, offers 3D printing solutions along the entire value chain of additive manufacturing. The portfolio includes the material brands Ultrasint® (powders for Powder Bed Fusion such as SLS and MJF), Ultrafuse® (filaments and pellets for FDM/FKF printing) and Ultracur3D® (photoreactive urethane photopolymers for resin printing), as well as services such as Lattice Design, FEA simulation, Testing for AM, LCA and TCO analyses, and post-processing including depowdering, chemical smoothing and coating with Ultracur3D® Coat F+. The materials are used among others in automotive, medical technology (orthotics, dental), consumer goods, construction, mechanical engineering and aerospace. More than 80 employees work at the Heidelberg headquarters in specialized business units on the development of the materials and service offerings. For North America, RP America (New Sharon, Iowa) acts as master distributor; in Shanghai, Forward AM operates an APAC team for sales, application services, R&D and production, and since 2021 an Additive Manufacturing Technical Center for the APAC region. Since November 2025, the product portfolio has been available via the iAM Marketplace.
