Masterflex SE, headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, is a manufacturer of technical hoses and connection systems and part of the Masterflex Group, which is represented by 14 operational locations in Europe, America and Asia. Around 150 employees work in administration and production at the Gelsenkirchen site, the group's largest production facility. The main products are spiral, clip and film hoses made of polyurethane, other specialty plastics and technically sophisticated fabrics – in total, more than 42 plastics are processed and over 120,000 product variants are offered. The manufacturing processes include profile extrusion, clip production, film and fabric processing, coating of cast elastomers and vulcanization; in addition, hoses are assembled into prefabricated hose sets and assemblies. The hoses are used for the safe and flexible conveying and extraction of solid, liquid or gaseous substances and ensure essential functions in machines and systems. Areas of application include mechanical engineering and OEM, automotive, food and pharmaceuticals, bulk goods, construction, glass and ceramics, waste disposal and cleaning technology, wood, aerospace as well as sea and rail transport. In addition to standard and special hoses, the company offers Engineering Services, framework agreements with 48-hour delivery and hose systems with integrated life-cycle tracking (AMPIUS®).

Polyurethane (PU/PUR)
High-performance material for abrasion-resistant extraction and conveying hoses; flexible, resistant, plasticizer-free, usable over a wide temperature range.
Polyethylene (LDPE/HDPE)
Highly resistant to chemicals such as acids, alkalis and solvents, suitable for aggressive media and fine-grained particles.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC, PVC/EVA)
Cost-effective material with good media resistance for a wide range of environmental conditions.
Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV)
Thermoplastic rubber with heat resistance and the elastic properties of vulcanized rubber.
Polyamide (PA)
Material for pneumatic hoses with high pressure and abrasion resistance.

Spring steel and steel strip
As an embedded spiral or clamping profile, the metal helix stabilizes the hose construction.
Profile extrusion
Continuous process in which a spring steel wire is embedded in the plastic profile in a torsion-proof and displacement-proof manner.
Clip production
Film or fabric strips are mechanically joined with high tensile strength using a screw-shaped clamping profile made of steel strip.
Film and fabric processing

The products are tested, among other things, for wall thickness, inner and outer diameter, surface resistance, abrasion resistance as well as pressure and vacuum strength; works certificates in accordance with DIN EN 10204-2.1 and declarations of conformity are provided.
