About MATADOR
MATADOR is a hand tool manufacturer founded in 1900 and based in Remscheid, the center of the German tool industry. The fourth-generation, owner-managed family company produces screwdriving tools 'around the screw', including ratchets, sockets, torque tools, pliers, screwdrivers and insulated tools according to IEC 60900. Historically, production began on two water-powered forging hammers; in 1919 the first patented lever-reversing ratchet was introduced. The range comprises more than 4,500 catalog items, designed for screws from 3.2 to 230 mm. The program is complemented by workshop trolleys, tool cases such as the smartyBOX family, MTS tool modules with foam inlays and the Men's Kitchen tool world. MATADOR is active as an accredited first-tier supplier to leading automotive groups such as Audi, Bosch, Ford, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Volvo and supplies more than 1,000 B2B customers in over 70 countries. Materials include chromium-vanadium steel and S2 tool steel.
