Matthias Hartmann Orthopädie + Sport GmbH was founded in 1983 and is a medium-sized company in orthopaedic shoemaking based in Dillenburg-Frohnhausen (Hesse) with a second location in Eschenburg-Hirzenhain. Its core competence is the handcrafted production of individual custom orthopaedic shoes according to customer specifications; modern materials are used in the upper construction (textiles, mesh, special leathers) as well as in the shoe sole (moulded sole units). Insoles and bedding are individually milled from the material. The company develops and distributes its own products such as the Secosol® insole system (product launch 2007) and the Miosol® sport insoles. In addition, motion analyses with foot pressure measurement and 3D foot measurement, sports medicine performance analyses in the NitroLab with a 60 m tracked running track, podological treatments and the supply of bandages, orthoses and compression stockings are offered. For corporate customers, safety shoes with orthopaedic insoles are provided including on-site service. Customers are private individuals, athletes, clubs and companies. Production takes place in Germany and neighbouring European countries; the quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001.
