About Matzen & Timm
Matzen & Timm GmbH, headquartered in Norderstedt near Hamburg, develops and manufactures custom flexible connection components: special hoses, bellows, cuffs and moulded parts made from elastomer-coated technical fabrics. Production is carried out as industrial craftsmanship: plastic sheets are wrapped layer by layer around a rotating mandrel, optionally reinforced with a steel wire spiral, and then vulcanised at temperatures well above 100 degrees. Further processes include extrusion, welding and sewing. The materials portfolio covers elastomers such as silicone, Neoprene, Hypalon, Viton, Nitrile and Butyl combined with fabrics made of glass, polyamide, polyester, Nomex, Kevlar and ceramic materials. Main customers include the aerospace industry (qualified as an Airbus QSF-C supplier), rail vehicle construction, the automotive industry including motorsport, defence technology, and mechanical and plant engineering. The company has been part of the Masterflex Group since 2003, also manufactures in Plana (Czech Republic) and is building a plant in Casablanca (Morocco) with production start in 2026. Almost all products are custom-made – from one-off pieces and prototypes through to large series.

Processes and products are certified by TÜV Rheinland in accordance with DIN EN 9100:2018 (equivalent to AS 9100D/JISQ 9100:2016, including ISO 9001:2015), valid until 11 June 2027.
