About Mauden
Mauden GmbH & Co. KG is a specialized contract surface finishing company for stainless steel surface technology based in Herborn-Hörbach, Hesse. Since 1974, the company has offered services such as electropolishing, passivation, immersion pickling in mixed-acid baths, as well as chemical and electrolytic deburring. In electropolishing, the component is immersed in an electrolyte bath and material removal produces a smooth, shiny surface which, due to its high passivity, is corrosion-resistant, easy to clean and suitable for sterile applications. Pickle passivation removes contaminants and forms a protective passive layer on the metallurgically clean surfaces. The treatments are carried out according to the individual customer specifications, including test reports upon request. Customers of the electropolished stainless steel parts are primarily the pharmaceutical and food industries as well as chemical apparatus and plant engineering, both nationally and internationally.

Processes & Materials
Electropolishing
Electrolytic material removal produces smooth, shiny, corrosion-resistant and easy-to-clean stainless steel surfaces.
Passivation (pickle passivation)
Chemical passivation forms a protective passive layer on metallurgically clean surfaces.
Immersion pickling
Pickling in a mixed-acid bath removes contaminants from stainless steel surfaces.
Chemical deburring
Chemical deburring removes burrs from stainless steel parts, even in hard-to-reach contours.
Electrolytic deburring
Electrolytic deburring enables burr-free, defined edges on stainless steel components.
Stainless steel
The only documented material for all processes, ideal for pharmaceutical, food and plant engineering applications.
