About Maurer SE
Maurer SE is a company in the steel, machinery and plant engineering sector headquartered in Munich, where it was founded in 1876 and where its head office remains to this day. Its portfolio is divided into three areas: structural protection systems with expansion joints, bridge bearings, seismic devices and vibration dampers; classical steel construction with steel high-rise structures, steel bridges and steel chimneys; and special machinery manufacturing. Under the Maurer Rides brand, the company has been producing amusement park attractions such as roller coasters and Ferris wheels since 2003. The products are made predominantly of steel and are used, among other things, in bridge construction, building construction, plant engineering and the amusement park industry. Reference projects include the BMW Welt in Munich and the Russky Bridge in Vladivostok, completed in 2012. In addition to its German locations in Munich, Lünen and Bernsdorf, Maurer operates its own production facilities in China, India and Turkey.
