About Maurer Rides
Maurer Rides GmbH is a subsidiary of the Maurer Group and specializes in rail-bound transport systems: roller coasters and related amusement rides, passenger transport systems and people movers as well as conveyor systems for unit load transport. The basis is the modular Spike® platform with patented rack-and-pinion drive technology for freely shaped 3D track layouts. The value chain includes design and development with the in-house multibody simulation XTRAC, three-dimensional tube bending of the track rails using the Maurer XBEND process (tube diameters up to 406 mm), structural steelwork, welding with production qualification level E, machining of bogie chassis, thermal spray coating as well as assembly and turnkey commissioning. The material is steel. Production takes place predominantly at the Munich site (Maurer SE); sales and customer service are located in Kirchheim near Munich. Customers are theme parks and operators worldwide, including Six Flags Qiddiya City and Allgäu Skyline Park. The parent company Maurer has been based in Munich since 1876; today more than 1,000 employees work in the group.
