We are Mauritius
Mauritius Brauerei GmbH in Zwickau is a group-independent, medium-sized private brewery with a brewing tradition dating back to 1859. It produces and distributes Zwickau beer specialities, including Pilsener, Urtyp Export, Bock Dunkel, Schwarzes Gold, Winterbier, Hopfenkrone and Trabi-Bier Deluxe. The brewery uses select raw materials such as malt from domestic brewing barley, aroma hops and soft brewing water from the Eibenstock Nature Park in the Erzgebirge. According to the company, all facilities meet the current state of the art; since 2007 the brewery has been certified annually to the International Food Standard (IFS) at Higher Level. After a chequered history – from a cooperative via a joint-stock company and the VEB to membership of the Dinkelacker Group and the Inbev group – the company has been management-owned since 2005; since 2024, Jörg Dierig has been the sole shareholder. The site is located at Talstraße 2, 08066 Zwickau, Saxony.
