About the Max Baermann Group
Max Baermann GmbH, headquartered in Bergisch Gladbach (Wulfshof), is a manufacturer of permanent magnets, technical compounds, plastic components and custom magnet systems. The family business, founded in 1926 by Max Baermann and now in its third generation, is regarded as the inventor of the plastic-bonded magnet (TROMALIT, 1934) and of flexible magnetic rubber (TROMAFLEX, 1956). Production includes injection-molded, sintered and pressed magnets as well as flexible magnets made from barium and strontium ferrite, neodymium-iron-boron and samarium-cobalt. In addition, the company develops highly filled specialty plastics for injection molding, extrusion and filament production, designs and builds its own production tools, and assembles complex assemblies from prototype manufacturing through to large-scale series production. The products are used, among other things, in the automotive industry, in robotics, aerospace, motors, sensors and instruments. The international corporate group includes production facilities in Germany, China and the USA.
