About CLAAS/KLINCKE Drahtwerke
The CLAAS/KLINCKE Drahtwerke are a cooperation between Max W. Claas GmbH & Co. KG and Hermann Klincke J. H. Sohn GmbH & Co. KG, based in Altena (North Rhine-Westphalia), and continue the tradition of the Altena wire industry, which dates back to 1738. The company draws and finishes steel wire in fine, medium and coarse drawing with diameters from 0.50 to 50 mm. The portfolio includes quality steel wire with carbon contents of 0.02 % to 0.95 %, hardenable spring steel wire, tool steel wire, cold-heading wire, rolling bearing wire as well as customer-specific profiled wires with tolerances in the micrometer range. Modern drawing machines together with the latest annealing and surface technologies in the company's own drawing and annealing plants form the basis of production. Customers include buyers from the automotive, fastening and forming technology sectors as well as the tool and rolling bearing industries, who are supplied worldwide. Around 99 employees produce at two plant sites with large, fully covered logistics centres.
