Max Walter Industrievertretungen GmbH is a raw materials distributor based in Leonberg near Stuttgart that has been active in the market since 1952. As an external sales partner, the company represents the parent companies H&R Group (Hamburg, mineral oil products) and Meggle (Wasserburg am Inn, milk-based dry products) in sales terms across seven federal states, mainly in southern Germany, and partly in Austria and Switzerland. The product range includes pharmaceutical excipients such as Lactose Ph. Eur., petrolatum, medicinal white oils, paraffins, ester oils and ointment bases, as well as food raw materials such as milk sugar, whey and milk proteins, coffee whiteners and fat powders. To ensure short-term delivery, the company maintains its own warehouse from which over 1,000 t of raw materials are delivered directly to customers each year. Its customers are found mainly in the pharmaceutical and food sectors as well as in the chemical and mineral oil industries. The six employees at the Leonberg site handle new customer acquisition and the established customer business; the quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and GDP.

History

Founded by Max Walter in Stuttgart-Feuerbach; start of the sales representation of the H&R Group in the field of mineral oil products.

Start of the cooperation with Meggle in the field of milk-based dry products (according to the partner website 1954, according to the About Us page 1958).

Max Walter retires due to age; Ralf Messerschmitt and Thomas Braun take over; the company headquarters is relocated to Leonberg.
