About Maya Kaffeerösterei

Maya Kaffeerösterei Birthe Haase is a Hamburg coffee roasting manufactory, founded in 1999 as Coffee Unlimited and operating under the name MAYA since 2012. At the original headquarters on Hammerbrookstraße and at the production site in Hollenstedt, Lower Saxony, Birthe and Christian Haase roast organic-certified coffees from Mexico, Peru and Ethiopia as well as a Demeter-certified organic microlot from Fazenda Camocim in Brazil. Roasting is carried out using the drum roasting process on a 30-kg machine in Hamburg and a 60-kg machine in Hollenstedt. The manufactory buys directly from the producers, roasts itself and supplies partners without intermediaries or wholesalers. The roasting date and a best-before recommendation of three months are handwritten on every bag; coffee is understood as a fresh product. Under the CULTD Coffee Unlimited brand, non-certified specialty coffees are distributed; in addition, there is the organic-certified tea series BIRDI TEE. Customers include gastronomy, bakeries, hotels, organic food retailers, health food stores and corporate customers throughout Germany; three coffee houses in Hamburg are affiliated.
