About MAYER Fruit Juices
Mayer Fruchtsaftkelterei GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1937 by Gottlieb Beutler in Stuttgart-Uhlbach and is today a family business in its third generation as well as the only fruit juice press house in the state capital of Stuttgart. At the Uhlbacher Straße site, native fruits – apples and pears as well as, since the 1970s, currants, sour cherries and quinces – are pressed; fruit juice concentrates are partly processed. The range comprises around 40 fruit juices, nectars, fruit juice drinks and alcoholic specialities in three container sizes (0.2 l, 0.5 l, 1 l). Filling is carried out exclusively in reusable glass containers on a rotary filling line consisting of seven machines that fills several thousand bottles per hour: from rinsing through heating the juice to 80–90 °C, sealing with a roll-on cap, glue labelling with best-before date printing, to packing and palletising. Customers include the hospitality industry, food retail, beverage wholesale and events in the greater Stuttgart area; the top-selling product is Stuttgarter Apfelsaft, a direct juice from orchard meadows, which carries the Quality Seal of Baden-Württemberg.
