MBE Maschinenbau GmbH Eibau is a metal processing company based in Kottmar (district of Eibau) in Saxony and part of the Scholz Group. Founded in 2003 as a contract machining shop, the company manufactures precision components with a high depth of production; its core services are CNC turning, CNC milling, CNC grinding and welding (MIG/MAG and TIG). The range of services also includes toolmaking, engineering design, prototype production, welded assemblies, assembly as well as research and development. Materials processed include steel in all specifications, cast, stainless steel, aluminium and brass; surface treatments such as electroplated coating, heat treatment or anodising are carried out in cooperation. Production ranges from individual parts to large series, with turning diameters up to 700 mm, milling sizes up to 2,400 mm and lengths up to 2,000 mm. Customers include, among others, the commercial vehicle industry, power plant and wind power engineering, shipbuilding, rail transport, mining, gearbox technology, the semiconductor industry and general mechanical engineering. In addition to its headquarters with production and logistics centre in Eibau, MBE operates a production site in Zittau.
