About Hannover Medical School

Hannover Medical School (MHH) is a university medical centre and a state enterprise of the State of Lower Saxony. It combines patient care, research and teaching at one site: patients are treated on an inpatient and outpatient basis in around 40 specialist clinics and institutes ranging from general and visceral surgery to cardiology, transplant medicine and oncology through to paediatrics and dentistry. Around 10,000 employees care for thousands of patients every day. In teaching, MHH offers degree programmes in human medicine (HannibaL model degree programme) and dentistry as well as Bologna degree programmes such as biochemistry, biomedicine, biomedical data science, public health and midwifery science; each year an intake of 320 medical and 80 dental students begins their studies. The FWT2 staff office supports research funding, knowledge and technology transfer and start-up ventures in the life sciences. The Central Quality Management operates in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

Quality and Certification

MHH is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (TÜV NORD CERT, certificate 44 100 121407) and publishes a structured quality report in accordance with § 136b SGB V every year. The Central Quality Management supports the departments in implementing the standard's requirements, conducts internal audits and manages feedback and complaints management.
