About MEGGLE Food Ingredients
MEGGLE GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Wasserburg am Inn, is a corporate group founded in 1887 that processes milk and whey. The Business Unit Food Ingredients develops and produces milk and whey proteins, lactose, casein, buttermilk powder, protein compounds and fat powders based on vegetable oils for the food, animal feed and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to its own products, the company offers contract manufacturing: spray drying with eight spray towers (water evaporation 1200–3000 kg/h, nozzle atomization up to 250 bar), wet agglomeration with high-shear mixers and fluidized bed drying, evaporation with ten falling-film evaporators (10,000 l/h), as well as blending, extrusion, crystallization and ultrafiltration. This is complemented by process and formulation development, chemical-physical analytics, GDP warehousing and transport organization. Products are filled into paper bags (15–25 kg), big bags (500–1000 kg) and fiber drums. Customers come from Dairy, Nutrition, Savoury, Bakery & Sweet, Babyfood, Feed and Pharma/Life Science.
