About Meier Verpackungen
Meier Verpackungen GmbH is a traditional company established in 1982 and based in Hohenems, Vorarlberg, specialising in food packaging, to-go packaging, shipping packaging as well as hygiene and occupational safety products. The company operates as a full-solution provider: it advises customers by phone, email and on site, configures packaging individually, handles print management and operates its own film cutting centre, where packaging films are cut to measure. The application technology team tests packaging processes directly on customers' machines. The product range includes film packaging, bags, cups, trays, cardboard packaging, stretch and strapping films as well as disposable gloves and hygiene clothing. As a licence partner of ARA, Meier handles the VVO obligation release for customers. Since 1 September 2015 the company has been 100% owned by Bunzl plc in London and, via an international purchasing network, supplies customers in Austria and Germany, including butchers, food manufacturers, fruit and vegetable producers, wholesalers, gastronomy and mail-order trade.
