About Cretton SA

Menuiserie Fernand Cretton & Cie SA is a traditional joinery and cabinetmaking (ébénisterie) business founded in 1956 by Fernand and Danièle Cretton. The company specialises in the realisation of high-quality mountain chalets, from Crans-Montana via Verbier to Zermatt. The range of services includes chalet construction, solid wood furniture, carved beams, windows, doors, stairs, wall panelling (boiseries), ceilings, floors and kitchens. The core of production is working with old wood (vieux bois): the company holds a stock of old wood with natural surface, built up over the long term, including original boiseries and ceilings from the 18th and 19th centuries. In addition, precious woods such as oak and walnut as well as regional woods such as fir and larch are processed, partly with vapo brossé or arraché surface treatments. The approximately 1,200 m² workshop with office facilities above combines conventional joinery machinery with a fully computer-controlled CNC system with simultaneous 5-axis head production, bringing together traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.
