MERIDION SprayCon – Spray Freeze-Drying of Microspheres
The liquid substrate is atomized through precision nozzles and the droplets solidify in a cooling zone into frozen microspheres with a narrow particle size distribution (200 µm – 800 µm).
MERIDION LyoMotion – Dynamic Freeze-Drying of Bulk Material
Frozen bulk materials are lyophilized in the rotary freeze-dryer under constant, gentle mixing, with sublimation energy supplied via radiation and temperature-controlled surfaces.
Pharma Process Line with Total Containment
The spray tower and bulk rotary freeze-dryer are integrated at production scale into an overall process line with closed product flow and steam sterilization.

Quality and Process Control
Quality-relevant parameters are measured directly in the product, enabling PAT concepts to be fully implemented and reducing OOS results. The systems enable closed product handling with total containment as well as optional WiP/CiP cleaning and GN2 inertization.
