About the Mertens Group

Mertens GmbH & Co. was founded in 1924 in Gütersloh, remains family-owned to this day, and has evolved from a metalworking business into a group of companies for metal and plastics processing. At the headquarters in Gütersloh, stamped and deep-drawn parts made of stainless steel and quality steels of various alloys are produced, along with cold-formed parts, cold extrusion, drawing and embossed parts, and springs, complemented by assembly, painting, galvanic surface finishing (Zn-Ni), and heat treatment. KDM Automotive GmbH, founded in 1990 and relocated to Meerane in 1997, produces plastic injection-molded parts, including two-component and gas-assist injection molding, liquid silicone (LSR) and EPDM processing, as well as metal-plastic composites. The group manufactures in medium and large series for the automotive industry, including components for closing and latching systems, and covers the entire value chain from development, design, and tool and mold making through to series production.
