About us

MESSTEC Power Converter GmbH develops and manufactures laser drivers for diode lasers, TEC controllers and complete OEM laser modules — including power supply, cooling, control electronics, driver and diode — in Penzberg south of Munich. With a high level of in-house production depth, the company covers electronic and mechanical manufacturing of components, electro-mechanical assembly and wiring, as well as partial and system testing. Engineering services include the design and project engineering of laser drivers, TEC controllers, electronic circuits, schematic diagrams and PCB design, as well as mechanical construction. In electronics manufacturing, reactance coils and transformers are wound and encapsulated in a vacuum process; cables and connectors are produced to customer requirements. The products are characterized by high current accuracy (ΔI ≤ 0.01 %) and high thermal stability (ΔT ≤ 0.01 K); drivers cover diode currents from 100 mA to 320 A at voltages up to 150 V. Lot sizes range from single pieces to mass production, with a specialization in small and medium series. The components and systems are used, among other things, in railway technology, aviation, laser technology, mechanical and plant engineering, and testing of electronic components, and are distributed worldwide through distributors.
