About Metrolux

Metrolux optische Messtechnik GmbH has specialised since 1995 in the development, production and marketing of innovative measurement technology for industrial applications. Originally founded in Göttingen, the company has been part of Berlin.Industrial.Group. (B.I.G.) since 2014. The focus is on optical seam tracking sensors based on proven Scansonic technology, which was previously developed by the sister company Scansonic MI GmbH. The sensor products cover three functions: Finding (positioning of the tool by detecting component edges), Tracking (real-time correction of the robot path during the ongoing joining process) and Inspecting (analysis of seam quality after the welding process). The sensors detect all common as well as highly reflective materials and offer interfaces to all common robots for welding, brazing and adhesive bonding processes. Ten application labs with state-of-the-art robotic technology are available on the B.I.G. campus in Berlin-Marzahn for customer-specific systems and tests. Customers of the technology come from the automotive industry, medical technology, energy technology, tool and mechanical engineering as well as welding and joining automation and robotics. A global sales and service network with branches and partners in Korea, China, Japan, India, France and the USA ensures on-site support.
