About Meyrat SA
MEYRAT SA was founded in 1947 in Biel/Bienne, a region regarded as the cradle of Swiss machine tool building. The company develops and manufactures standard and custom motor spindles and belt-driven spindles for small to medium-sized machines, in particular high-frequency spindles (MHF), high-torque spindles (MHT), dressing spindles (MDS), grinding spindles (MGS) and belt-driven spindles (BDS). Applications include turning, decolletage, milling, drilling, engraving, EDM and grinding. Manufacturing includes high-precision grinding and 24/7 automated production; components are made from steel, stainless steel and ceramic (hybrid bearings). Customers come from the automotive, dental, electronics, aerospace, medical technology and watchmaking industries. From its site at Lengnaustrasse 10 in CH-2504 Biel/Bienne, Meyrat supplies, among others, France, Spain, Italy and China via distributors, with the quality hallmark "Swiss Made".
