About MFT Maschinenfabrik Thale

MFT Maschinenfabrik Thale GmbH was founded in 1991 by 30 skilled workers and engineers from the former Eisen- und Hüttenwerk Thale iron and steel works. The company designs, manufactures and assembles mechanical equipment on a customer contract basis, both as one-off production and small series, with individual weights up to 30 t. The range of services includes welding fabrication (MAG, MIG, TIG, manual arc), CNC machining with large-scale boring, turning and milling technology, technological steel construction, sheet metal and profile cutting, annealing and blasting work, and wear protection through thermal spraying. In addition, MFT offers assembly, on-site and workshop repairs, maintenance, spare parts manufacturing and reconditioning. Main customers are steel production, hydraulic steel construction, stone extraction, power plant engineering, potash and salt mining, wagon building, and general mechanical and steel engineering; the first main customer was Salzgitter AG. At the headquarters in Thale (Saxony-Anhalt), around 10,000 m² of production space is available, of which 5,700 m² is covered, including a 2,500 m² assembly hall.
