About MG Handel AG
MG Handel AG, based in Wildau near Berlin, is a manufacturing supplier and metal trading company for metal semi-finished products, busbar tubes, overhead line cables, earthing cables and wires made of copper and aluminium. Starting from classic semi-finished product trading, the company has developed into a specialised manufacturing partner for the electrical power distribution industry. In cooperation with various aluminium works, around 1,500 tonnes of busbar tubes are produced annually, with tube dimensions up to 27 metres produced on large extrusion presses. In its own processing centre in Wildau, the tubes are bent in-plane and in 3D, pre-tensioned, fitted with welded flanges and equipped with damping cables – following the philosophy of "fit for purpose", the pre-assembled busbar tube is delivered ready for installation. In its own production, MG Handel AG also manufactures Cu earthing cables to DIN 48201 in all dimensions as well as AL1 aluminium cables up to 1,000 mm² and aluminium/steel cables. Customers include Siemens, ABB, Alstom Grid, GE Grid, transmission system operators such as Amprion and TenneT as well as power companies such as Eon, RWE and EnBW.
