About Micreon
Micreon GmbH is a contract manufacturer for damage-free laser micromachining of all technical materials. Founded in 2003 as a spin-off of the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. and registered as a GmbH in 2004, the company machines components with ultrashort-pulse lasers (femtosecond and picosecond) in the processes micro drilling, micro cutting, micro structuring and functionalization. Since the energy is ionized directly in the material during ablation, no melt, micro cracks, distortion or deposits are produced – regardless of hardness, optical properties or melting temperature of the material. Production ranges from prototypes through small series to serial production, with fast turnaround times and flexible design changes. Since October 2016 cleanroom production has been available; industries served include medical technology, electrical engineering, precision mechanics, toolmaking, mechanical engineering, automotive, vacuum technology, microtechnology and research. The headquarters with production, inspection and administration has been located in the SICAN Technologiepark Hannover since October 2005.
