Miraplast Kunststoffverarbeitungs GmbH is a medium-sized family business founded in 1964 in Vienna-Simmering, with its headquarters in Würmla, Lower Austria. Since 1970, plastic parts have been manufactured there using the injection-moulding process on injection-moulding machines from the brands Engel and Battenfeld. The company covers the entire value chain: planning and concept development, design and simulation, prototyping, in-house mould making, series production, assembly and logistics with a central warehouse. Under the MiraTech brand, Miraplast develops custom plastic injection-moulded parts for industrial applications and offers its services as a system supplier along the entire value chain; under MiraHome, the company distributes more than 300 kitchen and household products via the grocery, furniture and retail trades as well as a web shop. In addition to the main plant in Würmla with around 80 employees, the company has been operating the 100% owned subsidiary Miraplast Kft in Jánossomorja, Hungary, for about 25 years, which specialises in supplying Eastern European markets. The same production and quality standards apply at both locations.
