Company Profile

MKF Lifting Technology is a manufacturer of lifting technology and load handling equipment based in Birkenfeld in the Bavarian region of Lower Franconia. Founded in 1936, the family-run company develops, manufactures and sells custom designs as well as standardized lifting technology such as spreader beams, grabs, C-hooks, loading forks, magnets and turning spreader beams, alongside lifting points, cranes, hoists, operating equipment and protective equipment. The range of applications extends from the smallest loads in the kilogram range to large components weighing over 500 tonnes. The entire value chain – from design with 2D/3D drawings and static or dynamic load calculations, through material procurement, machining and non-cutting processing, MAG welding, CNC milling and painting, to final assembly, commissioning and acceptance – takes place at the company's headquarters in Billingshausen. Customers come from the wind energy, energy technology, automotive, foundry and mechanical engineering sectors, including Bosch Rexroth, KSB, MAN Energy Solutions, König & Bauer, WAREMA and ZF Sachs. In addition, MKF offers maintenance, conversions, spare parts, customer service and training.
