Möhlenhoff GmbH is a family-owned, internationally active company based in Salzgitter and has been active as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology for more than 40 years. The product portfolio comprises thermal and motorized valve actuators, room temperature controllers, connection components and complete control systems for underfloor heating, radiator heating, air conditioning and building management technology; in addition, the company offers solutions for smart home concepts. Founded in 1951 by Hellmuth Möhlenhoff as an electrical goods store in Salzgitter-Salder, the company has since developed into a leading supplier in the segment of thermal actuators; more than 75 million actuators have been produced since the company was founded. Alongside its own product development, the focus is on commercial production of customized OEM solutions, supported by an OEM customer portal and the software subsidiary Wolkenmacher in Braunschweig. The products are sold in more than 60 countries; in addition to its headquarters in Salzgitter, Möhlenhoff has operated a production facility in Schodnia, Poland, since 2016.

1. 1951

   Hellmuth Möhlenhoff founds an electrical goods store in Salzgitter-Salder at the age of 25

2. Development of the first electric trench convector for cold-air screening of large window areas

3. After the death of Hellmuth Möhlenhoff, Andreas Möhlenhoff takes over management of the company

4. Development of the first thermal actuator; followed by individual room control for underfloor heating and control distribution boards

5. 1990

   Andreas Möhlenhoff becomes Managing Partner (1990–2011)

6. Development of the first DDC actuator

7. Expansion of production in Salzgitter, market launch of OEM actuator and OEM controller, establishment of a quality management system
