About Molecular Acoustics
Molecular Acoustics develops patented transducer and signal processing technologies for audio transmission. Unlike conventional audio transmission technologies, the company captures, transmits and reproduces both sound pressure and sound velocity, thereby transmitting the complete sound intensity, i.e. the product of sound pressure and sound velocity. The basis for this is the physical description of sound as a density wave in air according to the wave equation. The resulting patent family provides a new foundation for almost every audio application – from capture to transmission to reproduction. The company has been working with audio professionals, physicists and musicians for over a decade. Molecular Acoustics GmbH is headquartered in Munich; it has a subsidiary, Molecular Acoustics Inc., in Los Angeles.
