About Moser Holzindustrie

Moser Holzindustrie GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of coffins based in St. Michael im Lungau (Salzburg State). The family business, founded in 1957 by Karoline and Sepp Moser, produces wooden and metal coffins in over 1000 designs from around a dozen different woods, as well as zinc inserts for crypt burial, at its main factory. The annual capacity is about 35,000 coffins; despite using state-of-the-art manufacturing, many parts are still handcrafted and assembled. The woods come exclusively from sustainably managed Austrian forests; the company is PEFC certified. Over 100 employees contribute to the company's success, which is currently run in the third generation by Mag. Reinhard Moser and Dott. Michael Moser. In addition to the main factory, Moser maintains a branch in Pelhrimov (Czech Republic) and supplies funeral directors in Austria, the Czech Republic, and via distribution partners in Germany.
