About Movimento
Movimento Orthopädie & Rehatechnik GmbH was founded in 2004 in Kassel by rehabilitation technician Olaf Mielke and orthopaedic shoemaker and bandagist master craftsman Stephan Morth. The company's speciality is supplying children with individually adapted orthopaedic and rehabilitation aids, including (electric) wheelchairs, mobile standing frames and standing devices, standing orthoses, positioning orthoses and positioning systems, insoles, walking orthoses, seating shells, trunk orthoses, rehab buggies and corsets. In addition to classic craftsmanship, the company relies on modern, digitalised manufacturing methods (Craft 4.0) and new materials and application processes, which it tests in-house. With the spin-off 3D-Up!, Movimento is advancing digital manufacturing in orthopaedic technology. The diversely staffed team includes master craftspeople in orthopaedic technology, engineers and IT specialists. The company works closely with specialised clinics, school centres, kindergartens and scientific institutions and operates at the Kassel (headquarters) and Göttingen (branch since 2016) locations.
