About Mühlhoff
Mühlhoff Umformtechnik GmbH was founded in 1832 as a coppersmith's workshop in Uedem and has been a supplier to the automotive industry since 1955. The family-owned company manufactures cold-formed, chipless sheet metal parts and components made of steel, stainless steel and aluminium with material thicknesses of 0.5 to 10.0 mm and a maximum strip width of 1,600 mm. The portfolio includes body components such as crossmembers and reinforcements, safety-relevant products such as seat belt and axle fastenings, components for powertrain and chassis as well as drive plates (flex plates). Production takes place on mechanical servo presses up to 20,000 kN and hydraulic presses up to 3,200 kN, supplemented by semi- and fully automatic welding systems, assembly, surface coating, toolmaking and machining. Customers include Audi, BMW, DAF, Daimler Truck, Mercedes-Benz, VW, Volvo as well as various Tier-1 suppliers. At its headquarters in Uedem, the company employs 373 people, including 21 apprentices; a further toolmaking site is located in Osterweddingen, along with the subsidiary Mühlhoff Automotive Romania SRL in Sacele.
