About the Musikbrauerei
The Musikbrauerei is a historic event location and recording studio in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. It is located in the listed building ensemble of the former Schneider-Brauerei (Brauerei Schweizergarten), which was built in the late 1880s and produced beer from 1892 to 1914. Since the 1990s, Jens Reule Dantas has operated the UFO Sound Studios and later the Musikbrauerei event location; in 2006 he acquired the entire property and continued the historically faithful renovation. The ensemble comprises around 570 square metres of halls plus four cellar vaults up to 15 metres deep. On the ground floor are three adjacent halls, which can also be used together: a 180 sqm Recording Hall with oak parquet flooring, stage, bar, lighting and sound system; a 270 sqm Column Hall with brick walls, stone floor and 4-channel spatial sound; and the approximately 120 sqm former Schwank Hall with daylight and plank flooring. A professional recording studio is connected to the halls. The premises are rented for corporate events, weddings, concerts, parties, symposia, dinner parties as well as film and video productions; parts of the film "Ich und Kaminsky" starring Daniel Brühl were shot here.

Heritage Conservation & Equipment
The listed building ensemble was renovated in a historically faithful manner; the ruin of the roof structure from wartime was structurally stabilised and is preserved as a memorial. The halls have good acoustics and serve for concerts and sound recordings.
