myCistern Operations GmbH, based in Landshut, is the manufacturer of the WaterGuard devices for fill-level measurement in rainwater cisterns. WaterGuard measures the fill level via a pressure sensor at the bottom of the tank, which directly captures the pressure of the water column and calculates fill height, litres and percentage from it – unlike ultrasonic or laser methods, this measurement principle is insensitive to condensation, cobwebs and internal fittings. The device is installed weather-protected in the utility room and connects via WLAN or LAN to the myCistern app (iOS and Android) as well as natively to Home Assistant; cloud history and push notifications are offered without a subscription. WaterGuard Refill additionally controls a drinking water top-up with free outlet in accordance with DIN EN 1717 via two switching outputs and monitors compatible pre-filters. The products are aimed at private customers in the areas of rainwater harvesting, garden irrigation and smart home.
