Nacelle GmbH is a battery company based in Wolpertshausen in Baden-Württemberg, specializing in sodium-ion energy storage technology. The company develops and produces cathode material – offered as powder or coated electrode (Nacelle Eterna+ or Eterna+ sheets) – and manufactures battery cells as well as complete energy storage modules from it. The product portfolio includes drop-in replacement batteries for forklifts (Nacelle L-series) and portable storage units (CubeStore), currently using LFP technology. Production is vertically integrated on 700 m² of laboratory and production space: from material synthesis via the patented nanocoating process to cell and module production including testing. The team of physicists, chemists, electrical engineers and materials scientists serves industries ranging from energy storage and industrial applications to material handling equipment and the residential storage market.
