About Naef Spiele
Naef Spiele AG is a Swiss family business that has been producing high-quality wooden toys and design objects for children and adults since 1954. The range includes the Naef Basic product line for babies and toddlers, Naef Classic with construction toys and design objects, and replicas from the Bauhaus era (1919–1933). As an authorized manufacturer, Naef produces objects based on original designs in collaboration with the Bauhaus Archive Berlin, the Bauhaus Foundation Dessau and the company Tecta, including the Bauhaus building game by Alma Siedhoff-Buscher (as a replica since 1977) and the chess game by Josef Hartwig. Fine woods such as maple, pear, cherry, walnut and plum are used, which are turned on a lathe, milled and crafted by hand; glass beads are also used in some cases. In addition to the standard range, the company offers custom-made wooden products, also in small series, as well as logo branding of products for corporate gifts and promotional items – customers have included Erdgas, Milka and Audi.
