About Nammo
Nammo is an international aerospace and defense group headquartered in Raufoss, Norway. With more than 4,100 employees, 27 production sites and a presence in 12 countries, the company is one of the leading providers of specialty ammunition and rocket motors for military and civilian customers. The portfolio includes small-, medium- and large-caliber ammunition, propelling charges and propellant powders, grenades, warheads, shoulder-fired weapon systems as well as solid-fuel rocket engines for space applications. In addition, composite solutions, countermeasures (CAD/PAD), demilitarization and test services are offered. Nammo was founded in 1998 through a state-led merger of the Nordic ammunition and propulsion companies in Norway, Sweden and Finland; the company is owned equally by the Norwegian state and the Finnish Patria Oyj. Around 80 percent of the business comes from aerospace and defense, and about 20 percent from civilian products sold under brands such as Lapua, SK and Vihtavuori. Customers include, among others, Firefly Aerospace and the ESA.
