National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NBC Bearings) was founded in 1946 and is an Indian manufacturer and exporter of rolling bearings headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The company belongs to the CKA Birla Group (formerly CK Birla Group) and operates five production sites in Jaipur, Newai and Bagru (Rajasthan) as well as Vadodara (Gujarat). The product portfolio comprises deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, thrust bearings, needle bearings, railway bearings and custom solutions with sizes from 6 mm bore to 2000 mm outer diameter. NBC supplies, among others, the Indian Railways as well as Indian and global automotive OEMs and offers in-house R&D and heat treatment. In 2020, NEI acquired the European bearing manufacturer Kinex Bearings. Applications range from cement and steel plants to electric motors, pumps and textile machinery, through to oil & gas and power generation.
