The natural stone manufactory
natursteinwolf GmbH & Co. KG from Lübeck is a natural stone manufactory with a tradition dating back to 1829. At the production plant in Selmsdorf, natural stone raw blocks with individual weights of up to 25 tonnes are machined into finished products on a project basis; in addition, imported goods are further refined and finished products are traded. The traditional focus is on the processing of granite; more than 3,000 tonnes of raw blocks and 1,500 tonnes of semi-finished goods are further processed annually, supplemented by trade in around 1,500 tonnes of finished work. Alongside natural stones such as granite, marble, slate, limestone and sandstone, quartz composites, large-format ceramic slabs and concrete are also machined. Production is carried out with state-of-the-art CNC technology, including a 5-axis machining centre, combined with traditional stonemasonry craftsmanship. Products are used in building construction, landscaping, civil engineering, monument preservation and the cemetery sector; with the FVO process, the company restores slip resistance to installed natural stone surfaces.

Materials and processes
Granite
Focus of processing; around 90 % of products are made of granite, including Scandinavian varieties such as Bohus granite.
Marble
Machining for building construction, gravestones and restoration.
Slate
Used e.g. for water basins and flooring, such as Theuma slate.
Limestone
Machining for building construction and objects, including Gotland limestone.
Sandstone
Used for fountains, gravestones and restoration.
Basalt
Used for block step installations and outdoor facilities.
Quartz composite (Caesarstone, Silestone)
Modern materials for kitchen worktops and bathrooms.
Ceramics (large-format slabs, thin ceramics)
Cutting and machining of large-format ceramic slabs, including Dekton.
Concrete
Cutting of concrete block steps and drilling of precast concrete elements as contract work.
FVO process
Mobile process for restoring slip resistance (anti-slip properties) to installed natural stone surfaces, including confirmation by a testing institute.

Quality
Quality is ensured by master stonemasons, state-certified stone technicians and trained machine operators; with the FVO process, an as-is condition test is carried out by an accredited testing body, followed by final confirmation of the achieved slip resistance by a testing institute.
