About Nemak
Nemak is an international supplier of innovative lightweight solutions for the global automotive industry, developing and manufacturing multi-material components for powertrain, body structure, chassis, e-mobility and interior applications. The product portfolio includes cylinder heads, engine blocks, transmission housings, differential housings, battery housings, e-motor components, structural and chassis parts. The value chain ranges from product development through casting processes such as high-pressure die casting (HPDC) in aluminum and magnesium, GSPM, Rotacast, low-pressure die casting and CPS sand casting to ductile iron casting, CNC machining, heat treatment, coating as well as joining and assembly technology (FSW, MIG, RSW, riveting, adhesive bonding). In 2025, the manufacturing network comprises 53 production plants and 12 development centers in 16 countries. In the DACH region, Nemak is represented with plants in Dillingen/Saar (CPS sand casting, e-housings) and Linz (Rotacast, prototypes), a plant in Altenmarkt (Austria, HPDC Al/Mg), the Raunheim Engineering Center, the regional headquarters in Frankfurt as well as the testing laboratory in Schaffhausen (Switzerland). In 2026, the integration of the GF Casting Solutions Automotive Business begins.

Materials and Casting Processes
Aluminum
Base material for cylinder heads, engine blocks, structural and e-mobility components in all casting processes.
Magnesium
Lightweight metal for highly integrated die-cast components, among others at the Altenmarkt site.
Ductile Iron
Material for sand-cast components for passenger and commercial vehicles, e.g. in Kunshan.
High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC)
Aluminum and magnesium for complex, thin-walled powertrain and structural components in high-volume production.
Gravity Casting in Semi-Permanent Mold
For highly complex cylinder heads and engine blocks, also as a prototyping process in Linz.
Rotary Casting (Rotacast®)
Patented process for highly complex, high-performance cylinder heads and engine blocks.
Low-Pressure Die Casting (LPDC)
For structural and chassis components as well as electric vehicle components.
CPS Sand Casting (Core Package System)
Patented technology with fully automated core production for highly integrated e-housings in Dillingen.
Sand Casting for Ductile Iron
For cast iron components for passenger car and commercial vehicle applications.
CNC Machining
Machining of aluminum, magnesium and ductile iron components for dimensional accuracy and functional performance.
