nempure GmbH, based at Mendig airfield, is a family-run company in the food sector that emerged from Dr. Gottschalk Nahrungsmittel GmbH & Co. KG. Dr. Klaus Gottschalk founded the company in 1995 in Meckenheim and built it up together with his wife Ilse. Since its acquisition by Elisabeth Milles in 2010, the business has been in continuous development; from a single employee it has grown into a team of currently 46 staff. The company provides services in the processing and production of foodstuffs. With the formal change to nempure GmbH in 2024, the next generation entered the management board with Milan Rawert, who leads the company together with Elisabeth Milles. In 2025, construction of a modern warehouse began at the Mendig site, intended to improve structure, efficiency and working conditions. The company continuously hires staff in production, processing, quality assurance and quality management.
