About neutrava
Neutrava AG, headquartered in Schwyz, is an infrastructure asset manager for stationary battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Switzerland. The company plans, finances, builds and operates grid-serving LFP battery storage systems in container construction at industrial sites – over operating periods of 15 to 25 years. The systems are connected to the grid via medium-voltage connections and marketed algorithmically: through peak shaving to reduce grid costs, through control energy (FCR/aFRR) at Swissgrid, as well as via spot market arbitrage and PV integration. Site partners bear no own investment and no operational effort; neutrava handles permitting management, fire protection, 24/7 monitoring and operational management. Economic feasibility is validated data-based with the partner batterysimulator.ch, while system integration is handled by modual ag as exclusive technology partner. The reference system in Läntigen (SZ) is in operation and prequalified for FCR/aFRR at Swissgrid.

Technology & Processes
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP)
Thermally stable, cobalt-free cell chemistry with high cycle durability, designed for 15–25 years of operation including degradation management.
Battery storage in container construction
Prefabricated, scalable container modules from a few MWh up to the double-digit MWh range.
Bidirectional power electronics
Inverters with grid-forming functions and reactive power provision at the medium-voltage connection.
