Company

NIDEC MOTORS & ACTUATORS (GERMANY) GmbH (NMA) develops and manufactures electric and mechatronic drive components for the automotive market as well as industrial applications. The range extends from micro drives for actuators and pumps at 10 W to electric traction motors with 150 kW. The focus is on Body/Comfort, Brakes and Steering, Powertrain, Thermal Management and Electromobility; in the industrial segment, brushless motors are offered for medical technology, building services, household appliances, HVAC and transport systems. Production is highly automated and integrates key processes such as laser welding, automated stator manufacturing with a high copper fill factor, test rig construction, collaborative robots and automated guided vehicles. The main plant and European headquarters are located in Bietigheim-Bissingen; two further production sites are located in Spain and Poland. Since 2007, the company founded in 1923 has belonged to Japan's NIDEC Corporation.
